    Who Am I ???

About meWelcome and Thank you for visiting.

BGTV Media Online blog features the truth of what is going on in our world today. Regular people with regular lives and their experiences with life. This blog features videos that I feel will be helpful in Education of the outside world and the struggles we face as humans to survive. Some videos will be for entertainment as well.

I find that people in different countries and cultures are just the same as me and you. I really didn’t feel that way until I moved to California in 2003 and started meeting people from all walks of the world.

Being a southern small town girl from the east coast so used to dealing mainly with only two races(black and white), I was really fascinated when I arrived in California.

The hot weather and the smell of different exotic foods in the air immediately drew me to love this place. Besides that now I felt free to be myself and live my life.

Over the years I have met (OMG) I can’t even begin to count how many people, but many became work associates and some good friends.

Getting to know people and their cultures I began to understand that we all are the same. We all breathe the air and have to attend to everyday life situations that may come our way.

Modeling was one of my professions and in doing that I have come to understand the true beauty of a person on the inside and out. I understand that it’s not what’s on the outside that is true beauty, but what’s on the inside as beauty is skin deep, but ugly is too the bone. Honestly I hate stuck up people and folks who think they are all that. After going through many challenges in my life, I understand human nature and think and understand the concepts of life and human beings well. This in the long run have taught me how to associate with people as an individual as well as a group.

Now I have made it my business to spread the word and the truth about so many unfortunate people and the disasters that strike their lives.

“Gruesome death: tuna worker Jose Melena cooked to death at Bumble Bee plant in California: TomoNews”

Posted by bgtvmediaonline on 2015-05-18

San Diego-based food manufacturer Bumble Bee and two of the company’s managers were charged with violating safety regulations after a worker was cooked to death in a pressure cooker in 2012.

Jose Melena, aged 62, was doing maintenance work in a 35 foot long pressure cooker at Bumble Bee Foods’ Santa Fe Springs plant before dawn on October 11, 2012.

Assuming Melena was in the bathroom, another worker turned on the cooker after filling it with 12,000 pounds of tuna. The temperature reached 270 degrees.

After realizing Melena was missing, a supervisor asked workers to look for Melena through an intercom announcement. Workers also searched the parking lot.

Melena’s body was found in the cooker after it was turned off.

Bumble Bee Foods is facing a minimum6 fine of $1.5 million. If convicted of all charges, the two managers could receive maximum sentences of three years in prison.

Shy Bairns Get Nowt: Food Poverty in the UK

Posted by bgtvmediaonline on 2015-04-26

VICE heads to Newcastle to go inside one of the busiest food banks in Britain, where food is being distributed for free to more than 1,000 people a week. We meet the dedicated volunteers and the locals for whom poverty has become a part of everyday life after decades of industrial decline and years of austerity cuts. Inevitably, in such a situation, the system will occasionally falter.

After Warmest Winter, Drought-Stricken California Limits Water But Exempts Thirstiest Big Growers

Posted by bgtvmediaonline on 2015-04-06

As California’s record drought continues, Gov. Jerry Brown has ordered residents and non-agricultural businesses to cut water use by 25 percent in the first mandatory statewide reduction in the state’s history. One group not facing restrictions under the new rules is big agriculture, which uses about 80 percent of California’s water. The group Food & Water Watch California has criticized Brown for not capping water usage by oil extraction industries and corporate farms, which grow water-intensive crops such as almonds and pistachios, most of which are exported out of state and overseas. Studies show the current drought, which has intensified over the past four years, is the worst California has seen in at least 120 years. Some suggest it is the region’s worst drought in more than a thousand years. This comes after California witnessed the warmest winter on record. We speak with environmental reporter Mark Hertsgaard, author of the book, “Hot: Living Through the Next Fifty Years on Earth.” Democracy Now!
