    Who Am I ???

About meWelcome and Thank you for visiting.

BGTV Media Online blog features the truth of what is going on in our world today. Regular people with regular lives and their experiences with life. This blog features videos that I feel will be helpful in Education of the outside world and the struggles we face as humans to survive. Some videos will be for entertainment as well.

I find that people in different countries and cultures are just the same as me and you. I really didn’t feel that way until I moved to California in 2003 and started meeting people from all walks of the world.

Being a southern small town girl from the east coast so used to dealing mainly with only two races(black and white), I was really fascinated when I arrived in California.

The hot weather and the smell of different exotic foods in the air immediately drew me to love this place. Besides that now I felt free to be myself and live my life.

Over the years I have met (OMG) I can’t even begin to count how many people, but many became work associates and some good friends.

Getting to know people and their cultures I began to understand that we all are the same. We all breathe the air and have to attend to everyday life situations that may come our way.

Modeling was one of my professions and in doing that I have come to understand the true beauty of a person on the inside and out. I understand that it’s not what’s on the outside that is true beauty, but what’s on the inside as beauty is skin deep, but ugly is too the bone. Honestly I hate stuck up people and folks who think they are all that. After going through many challenges in my life, I understand human nature and think and understand the concepts of life and human beings well. This in the long run have taught me how to associate with people as an individual as well as a group.

Now I have made it my business to spread the word and the truth about so many unfortunate people and the disasters that strike their lives.

Millions Could Lose Obamacare Coverage as Supreme Court Weighs Dubious Koch-Backed Case

Posted by bgtvmediaonline on 2015-03-05

The U.S. Supreme Court has heard arguments in a new challenge to the Affordable Care Act, or “Obamacare.” The Competitive Enterprise Institute, backed by the billionaire brothers David and Charles Koch, sued the government over an aspect of the law dealing with tax subsidies. The legal question before the court focuses on a four-word phrase in the Affordable Care Act, which says subsidies are available to those buying insurance on exchanges “established by the state.” Plaintiffs claim the wording does not include some 7.5 million people in 34 states who get their insurance through federal exchanges, after their states declined to run exchanges of their own. If the government loses the case, millions of people would lose the subsidies needed to help pay for private health insurance. Justices appeared sharply divide during Wednesday’s arguments, and a decision is expected by late June. We are joined by Ian Millhiser, who attended Wednesday’s court hearing. He is a senior fellow at the Center for American Progress Action Fund, editor of ThinkProgress Justice, and author of the forthcoming book, “Injustices: The Supreme Court’s History of Comforting the Comfortable and Afflicting the Afflicted.

Anti-Vaxxer death: German baby’s measles death ignites mandatory vaccination debate

Posted by bgtvmediaonline on 2015-02-24

Following the February 23 death of a German toddler from measles, health officials in Berlin are considering making vaccinations mandatory. The RNA in the measles virus uses a protein to bind itself to a host cell. After finding a healthy cell, its proteins disassemble and replicate, before going on to infect new cells. The only current way to shut down this viral factory is through vaccination. Children who are vaccinated are given a tiny amount of the live measles virus, just enough for the body to create defenses against it. If over 90% of a population has been vaccinated, the virus cannot gain enough traction to cause an outbreak. Medical professionals insist the shots are safe and that vaccinations do not cause autism, a concern for some parents in both Europe and the U.S.

Inside the Vaccine War: Measles Outbreak Rekindles Public Health Debate

Posted by bgtvmediaonline on 2015-02-06

The federal government has confirmed more than 100 people across 14 states have now developed measles. Public health officials suspect the outbreak, which is concentrated in California, began when an infected person visited Disneyland in Anaheim in December. In recent years, a growing number of parents have opted not to have their children vaccinated, claiming a link between vaccines and autism. The prestigious medical journal Lancet published a study in 1998 showing such a link, but the study was later retracted and has been widely discredited. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, one in 12 children born in the United States is not receiving their first dose of MMR (measles, mumps and rubella) vaccine on time.

Several potential Republican presidential candidates have weighed in on the debate. Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky, an ophthalmologist, said he had heard of instances where vaccines caused “mental disorders.” New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie said vaccinating kids is a matter of “parental choice.” We spend the hour discussing the vaccine debate and public health with three guests (read full bios below):

US Measles epidemic caused by anti-vaccination movement

Posted by bgtvmediaonline on 2015-02-03

More than 100 measles cases have been reported in more than a dozen U.S. states this year, with most of the cases part of a large, ongoing multistate outbreak linked to California Disneyland. From January 1 to January 30, 102 people in 14 U.S. states were reported to have measles, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said on its website. Scientists have blamed the outbreak on the anti-vaccination movement, Forbes reported, as the majority of people who contracted measles were unvaccinated. A total of 644 measles cases were reported in 27 states in 2014, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, but scientists warn that 2015 is on track to be worse than last year. “Poverty Bench Press – Recovering From A Torn Pec”

Posted by bgtvmediaonline on 2015-01-20

Published on Jan 14, 2015
What’s up guys. This is a quick commentary over some training footage of my bench press day. Due to a past injury, I have a very poor bench press for my size. A torn pec set me back in size and strength for quite some time, and to be honest I didn’t know if I would ever get back to where I was after the incident. Ebola Contaminated Blood Stolen From The Red Cross

Posted by bgtvmediaonline on 2014-11-25

Published on Nov 23, 2014
The Young Turks

Sure there are no current Ebola cases in the United States but how long will that last?  Ebola is still a very real problem in many countries.  Should the US be more involved in resolving this issue?

“Robbers in Guinea have stolen blood samples believed to be infected with Ebola, the Red Cross in the West African nation has said.

The samples, stored in tightly wrapped vials tucked into a cooler bag, were in the care of a Red Cross courier who was among nine passengers sharing a taxi when three men on a motorbike robbed the vehicle and took the samples, said Saa Mamady Leno of the Red Cross in Gueckedou.”*  Ben Mankiewicz, Jimmy Dore, Dave Rubin & Ana Kasparian discuss on The Young Turks.
