    Who Am I ???

About meWelcome and Thank you for visiting.

BGTV Media Online blog features the truth of what is going on in our world today. Regular people with regular lives and their experiences with life. This blog features videos that I feel will be helpful in Education of the outside world and the struggles we face as humans to survive. Some videos will be for entertainment as well.

I find that people in different countries and cultures are just the same as me and you. I really didn’t feel that way until I moved to California in 2003 and started meeting people from all walks of the world.

Being a southern small town girl from the east coast so used to dealing mainly with only two races(black and white), I was really fascinated when I arrived in California.

The hot weather and the smell of different exotic foods in the air immediately drew me to love this place. Besides that now I felt free to be myself and live my life.

Over the years I have met (OMG) I can’t even begin to count how many people, but many became work associates and some good friends.

Getting to know people and their cultures I began to understand that we all are the same. We all breathe the air and have to attend to everyday life situations that may come our way.

Modeling was one of my professions and in doing that I have come to understand the true beauty of a person on the inside and out. I understand that it’s not what’s on the outside that is true beauty, but what’s on the inside as beauty is skin deep, but ugly is too the bone. Honestly I hate stuck up people and folks who think they are all that. After going through many challenges in my life, I understand human nature and think and understand the concepts of life and human beings well. This in the long run have taught me how to associate with people as an individual as well as a group.

Now I have made it my business to spread the word and the truth about so many unfortunate people and the disasters that strike their lives.

Major tech companies are implementing a policy alerting users when the government requests access to their data. Companies such as Google, Facebook and Microsoft came under fire after last year’s revelations regarding the National Security Agency and the extent of the government’s access to users’ personal data. The Obama administration is also considering changes to the rules governing warrantless access to consumers’ information. RT’s Lindsay France has more details on these privacy changes.

The Young Turks

“Google announced Monday that it is buying New Mexico-based drone maker Titan Aerospace for an undisclosed sum, the Wall Street Journal reports. If you recognize the name, it’s because Facebook was reportedly in talks to buy the same company.

The thing is, Titan Aerospace doesn’t exactly have a huge number of drones yet. In fact, the company only has two: the solar-powered Solara 50 and the Solara 60, both of which can reportedly stay in flight for five years. If you’re interested, the Solara 50 can carry 70 pounds and the Solara 60 can carry around 250 pounds.”* The Young Turks hosts Cenk Uygur and Ana Kasparian break it down

Egypt’s Facebook Face Off (2008) – See how Egypt’s youth are striving to make their voices heard, through the use of social media.

For over 27 years President Mubarak has ruled with an iron fist. With protests and strikes forbidden, activists are finding new ways to fight for democracy. Through Facebook, protestors can now find a voice.

“They are terrified of Facebook because it is new to them. It is something they can’t control.” Says democracy activist Nadia who was arrested at the recent April 6 strike. A recent campaign organised via Facebook, saw thousands refusing to work and several hundred campaigning on the streets. Ahmad Mehr, the creator of the Facebook-led strike was eventually arrested. “Just for the password they took my trousers off, he said ‘We can rape you, we can put a stick in”. They wanted to close the Facebook group, they wanted control over it”. He was released after providing a false password and now lives in hiding, “Everyone should be interested in politics. I think it is worth the trouble and being in prison for a month or two”. Filming their protests using mobile phones, then uploading them to the internet has inspired bolder political attacks from Egypt’s youth. Footage of Belal Diab heckling the Prime Minister Ahmed Nazif was uploaded onto You Tube. “I told him Egypt was sad, the flower of Egyptian youth was in detention, we want you to release the detainees of 6 April.”

NSA posed as Facebook to install malware on computers

Posted by bgtvmediaonline on 2014-03-16

RT America

The National Security Agency has the ability to covertly hack into computers on a mass scale by using automated systems, according to newly released, top-secret documents from former government contractor Edward Snowden. The NSA has been using a program code-named Turbine to contaminate computers and networks with malware “implants” capable of spying on users. The documents also say that the NSA pretended to be Facebook to install its malware. Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg shared harsh words for United States President Barack Obama on Thursday amid ongoing complaints from the tech community about the administration’s role with regards to the internet. RT’s Gayane Chichakyan takes a look at Zuckerburg’s and the NSA’s reactions to the leaked documents.

If you have a Facebook account, then you’ve probably found yourself typing out a status update that you delete last-minute, just before posting. Maybe it’s too personal or controversial. But for whatever reason, you delete it, feeling a sense of relief that no one will ever be able to see those words. But thanks to a new report, we now know that’s not necessarily the case. The study shows Facebook has the technological ability to see the information you were hoping to keep private. RT’s Ameera David reports.

Are you a psychopath? Your Facebook status can tell

RT America

In a new study called “The Dark Side of Facebook,” Swedish researchers found that your status updates may reveal if you have certain personality traits such as psychopathy, narcissism or Machiavellianism. The researchers reviewed the status updates of over 300 Americans in combination with personality tests, then used an algorithm that measured the significance of words. RT‘s Ameera David speaks with one of the two researchers involved in the study, Lund University professor of cognitive psychology Sverker Sikstrom, about what “The Dark Side of Facebook” revealed.
